Mrs Adetoun Ibilola Popoola

GENERAL MANAGER, LAGOS STATE PARKS AND GARDENS AGENCY

Adetoun Ibilola Popoola, born in 1984, attended the prestigious Queen’s College in Lagos.

An Alumnus of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), she bagged a B.Sc. in Business Administration in 2004. Adetoun also obtained an M.Sc. in Marketing and Communications Management from the University of Hull, UK in 2009.

Adetoun started her career in Banking as an Executive Trainee with Guaranty Trust Bank Plc in 2006. Her passion for excellence earned her exceptional promotion to the position of Banking Officer in 2012 and then Senior Banking Officer in 2015. With over 10 years experience in project management, customer experience and quality management, she joined the Strategy and Corporate Transformation Group of the Bank of Industry in 2018 as an Assistant Manager where she played an exceptional role in the success of the 2019 ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
Surveillance Audit for the Bank of Industry. Adetoun has attended several seminars and workshops within and outside the country, including: ISO 9001:2018 (Quality Management System) Internal Audit Certification; Root-Cause Analysis based on Lean Six Sigma Methodology Certification Training (by British Standards Institute); ISO Integrated Management System – Lead Implementer (Certification Training) (by British Standards Institute amongst others.

In 2019, Adetoun was appointed the General Manager of Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK). Since her assumption of office, she has intensely propagated the environmental sustainability vision of the State Government through various initiatives. Adetoun is happily married

MRS. OLADUNNI PATRICIA AKINFALA

HEAD, ADMINISTRATION & HUMAN RESOURCE

Oladunni Akinfala joined the Lagos State Civil Service in November 2001.

She started her working career as a Legislative Officer at the Lagos State House of Assembly in 2001, where she served till 2005. Mrs  Akinfala was re-designated  into the  Administrative cadre in 2005 and has served in various capacities such as Management Service Reform Office now Office of Transformation as an  Administrative Officer; Ministry of Commerce,  Industry& Investment as Departmental Training Officer; Agency for Mass Education Head, Admin & Human Resources; Ministry of Agriculture—Departmental Training Officer, Agricultural Land Holdings Authority Head, Admin & Human Resources; Office of Overseas Affairs & Investment (now Sustainable Development Goals) Head, Inter-ministerial Coordination.

She was deployed to the Office of Public Private Partnerships in 2018 as Head, Admin & Human Resources.

Her contributions and achievements to the Civil Service include Being a member of the committee on World Health Day (2010), acted as the secretary of the Agric Land Holdings Authority during the process of acquiring agricultural lands for the State Government in Lagos, Oyo, Ogun and Abuja, participated as the secretariat of the monthly Erekorodo stakeholders meeting, participated actively in the establishment of agricultural zonal Offices in 4 Zonal areas of the State.

Mrs. Akinfala pioneered the establishment of Investment Champions in all MDAs for the Office of Overseas Affairs and Investment. Oladunni Akinfala has also attended the following Local and International trainings/workshops/conferences; Train- The- Trainer, Customer relations service workshop, Human Resources Management workshop and HR summit.

Oladunni Akinfala was born into the Macaulay family of Lagos Island on the 28th of July 1968. She is married and blessed with children. Her hobbies are cooking, travelling and meeting people.

She holds a B.A in English, from the Lagos State University. She is an associate member of the chartered Institute of Personnel Management

MRS. FUNTO OLAITAN AINA

HEAD, TREE PLANTING & MAINTENANCE

Mrs. ‘Funto Aina is a Deputy Director and Head of the Tree Planting & Maintenance Department of the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency. She is an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental professional with a track record of success in the Food and Environment Industry, Drug and Food Laboratory analysis and over 9years experience in the Safety Profession. She has experience in developing quality management systems, safety inspections and training. She is highly skilled having attended specialized trainings in various managerial skills and a certified Train the Trainer in Safety Skills.

She had her secondary education at the renowned New Era Girls Secondary School, Surulere and graduated with Upper Credit from the prestigious Yaba College of Technology, Lagos in 1988 studying Microbiology. In her passion for Safety of lives and property, she pursued certifications in safety. She holds a certificate from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health(CIEH), NEBOSH and the ABIOSH UK – International Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health with distinction. She has a post graduate diploma in HSE management from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Management from the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, in 2014.

Her vision is to preserve and improve Safety and Health at workplaces and the Environment. She strives at all times to utilize her skills and experience to ensure that Health and Safety Management is key to workplaces.

She started her career as a Middle Manager with the Nigerian Bottling Company PLC (Bottlers of Coca-Cola) before joining the State Government in 2000. She is a member of Science Association of Nigeria (Lagos State Chapter), an associate member of NILST, NIFST, NISCN (Lagos Chapter), and member of the Safety Advocates, OSH Africa, a Safety Professional and Environmental Scientist.

MRS. OMOLARA OLAJUMOKE AKINPELU

Mrs Omolara Olajumoke Akinpelu was born on the 12th of October, 1970 in Lagos to the Adebowale’s family.

She completed her elementary education at Okunsanya memorial primary school,Orile Agege in 1982 and then proceeded to Orile Agege community high school, where she obtained her West African school certificate in 1987. She gained admission into the prestigious Yaba college of Technology and graduated as an Urban and Regional planner in 1994 and enlisted for the compulsory National Youth Service Corps programme,and thereafter proceeded to Lagos State University, where she obtained postgraduate diploma and Master’s in Urban and Regional planning respectively.

She eventually joined the Lagos State Civil Service in the year 2000, as Higher Technical Officer (Planning) at the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban development, and has since worked in several Ministries and Departments, including Lagos State Urban and Regional Planning Board (LASURBP), Lagos State Physical Planning and Development Authority (LAPPHYDA), Lagos State Urban Renewal Authority (LASURA), Lagos State Physical Planning Permit Authority (LASPPPA), and currently Lagos State Parks and Garden Agency (LASPARK) as a Deputy Director and Head of Planning and Design.

She is a professional member of Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP) and chartered with the Town Planning Registration Council of Nigeria (TOPREC) as a licensed Town Planner.

She is married with Children.

MR. HAFEEZ ADETOKUNBO SHITTU

HEAD, OPERATIONS

Hafeez Adetokunbo Shittu, a Deputy Director, was born on the 27th of July, 1972 and hails from Epe Local Government of Lagos State.

He had his Primary Education at Christ Church Primary School Epe, his Secondary Education was at Epe Grammar School before furthering his tertiary education at University of Benin where be bagged his Bachelor of Agriculture Degree and Masters in Business Administration. He is a member of Nigerian Institute of Animal Science and a Registered Animal Scientist.

After his Youth Service in 1998, he worked briefly with a Computer Firm Telesystems in Port Harcourt, Rivers State as Operations Manager before joining the service of Lagos State Government in 2001 as Agric Officer II and deployed to then Lagos State Agricultural Training Institute Araga Epe (Now Agric Yes) as an instructor. There he rose to the post of Head of Livestock Department of the Institute before he was deployed to the then Ministry of Rural Development as Regional Manager for Epe Division. In year 2015 upon the scrapping of the Ministry, he was deployed to the Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs as Zonal Manager for Epe Zone.

In year 2016, he was deployed to Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency in the Ministry of Environment. While at Laspark, he has served in various capacities these include, Assistant Head, Horticultural Research and Development Department (HRD), and Regional Manager Region one. In year 2020 he was made the Head of the Operations Unit of the Agency and presently serves in that capacity.

During the course of his service he attended many courses which include Stress Management, Dealing with difficult people, From Boss to Leader, Effective Coaching Skills for Leaders, courses in Project management and many others.

He is an articulate, confident and an individual that relishes challenges. Since his deployment to Laspark in year 2016, he has made a remarkable impact in the Agency. In year 2018 based on his outstanding performance he was issued a letter of commendation by the Agency for his resourcefulness, dependability, dedication and high level of professionalism.

As the Head of Operations, he has proved himself as an effective manager, administrator, inspiring motivator and intelligent leader. He gets a job done unobtrusively and efficiently. He communicated well and has creative ideas, which he is able to see through completions. He certainly has set a fine example of reliability, dependability and commitment.

He has successfully raised the profile of work ethics at the agency and has worked hard to put systems in place to make things function more efficiently. He administered the Operations Unit very ably and brings out the best out of his team. He has shown initiatives and made a tangible impact through his involvement in various committees of the Agency.

MRS. YINKA AMINAT OLADINI

HEAD, GREENER LAGOS MANAGEMENT

Yinka Aminat Oladini attended St Anne’s School Molete Ibadan in Oyo state, 1986, went to Federal Polytechnic Ilaro at Ogun State for National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology in 1992, further proceeded in 1993 and had a Diploma in Computer Studies at Bethesda Computers Government Approved Institute. In 1995, she obtained Higher National Diploma in Microbiology/ Virology at University of Ibadan (UI), in 2008; she went further to obtain post Graduate Diploma in Health, Safety & Environmental Management at College of Medicine of the University of Lagos (Unilag).

She attended Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta for her Master’s degree in Environmental Management (MEM) in 2014.

Aminat is a Deputy Director of  Scientific Officer joined  Lagos State Government Civil Service in 1999, and was deployed to Ministry of Environment & Water Resource to Swage department unit than, where she worked till 2003.  In 2003, was deployed to waste Management Unit, she worked till 2004.

In 2004, she was deployed to Ikeja Local Government as the Zonal coordinator.

In 2015 she was Posted to Alimosho local government, as monitoring officer, where she was later redeployed to Ikeja local government in 2016.

In 2017 she was reposted to her parent Ministry and later redeployed to Lagos State parks and Gardens Agency under the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources as the Head of Strategic Engagements in 2021 before her current position as Greener Lagos Manager in charge of Region 2.

She has attended several courses & workshop within the state including Agriculture Policy Development & implementation in 2006, Technical Report writing course (TMS 19) in 2007, Understanding Sustainability and SDGs for a greater Lagos in 2020, Political Economy Analysis and Capacity Need Assessment for the Lagos State water Regulatory Commission PEA Workshop in 2021.

She is happily married and blessed with children.

 

 

MR. SUNDAY WHENAYON

HEAD, GREENER LAGOS MANAGEMENT (GLM4)

Mr. Sunday Whenayon Idowu, a graduate of Biochemistry, Lagos State University, Ojo hails from Topo, in Badagry Local Government, Lagos State.

He was employed into the Lagos State Civil Service in August, 2000 and deployed to Ministry of Environment.(Now Ministry of Environment and Water Resources).

Idowu Sunday has worked in different Department in the Ministry such as Sanitization Dept., Signage and Advertisement Dept., Conservation and Ecology Dept.

He was later re-deployed to Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency in 2012 having been created in 2011. Idowu has also worked in a Department and various units in the Agency since its inception to date.

To mention a few, he has worked in Monitoring, Enforcement and Compliance Dept., Parks and Gardens Partnership unit (now Partnerships), Local Government Parks and Gardens unit and presently Greener Lagos Manager (Region 4) which covers Alausa Secretariat, Magodo/ Isheri, GRA Ikeja, Airport and its environs, Old Secretariat, Ikeja,  Oregun, and Agidingbi.

Idowu is a resourceful, dedicated, hardworking and intelligent officer who has indeed added value to the Agency.

He once got a commendation from former Hon. Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Muiz Banire for dutifully monitoring the Establishment and maintenance of Ikorodu Road Beautified site from Onipanu to Anthony in 2008.

He likes Reading, listening to News and Music.

He is happily married with Children.

MRS. ORIYOMI OLAIDE COLLINS

HEAD, GREENER LAGOS MANAGEMENT (GLM6)

Mrs, Oluyomi Olaide Collins, a Deputy Director, finished at University of Nigeria, Nsukka Enugu State in 1996, where she studied Food Science and Technology, and had her youth Service at West African Milk Company (WAMCO) now Friesland Food Caprina Acme Lagos. She started her career with Lagos State Government as an Agricultural Officer 1 in 2000 at the Ministry of Agriculture and Co-operative for 7 years where she was involved in Training, Advocacy & Processing activities with Farmers. She was later deployed to the Ministry of  the Environment- Office of Environmental Services as a pioneer staff in the climate change unit, where she exercised her teachings Skills at  School Advocacy Unit, Organizing Quiz competition for School, and was involved in the Organization of the first to Seventh International Climate Change Summits for the State. While doing this she developed her passion for climate change. Attended and  several local and international workshops, training in this area, at the University of Rhode Island U.S.A and Green House Gas Emission Training at the World Bank, The Paris Agreement as developmental Agenda 2020. She worked on policy drafting for climate change and with Non-Governmental Organization on their Policy Advocacy and Partnership programme in conjunction with DFID- Development Partners.

She had her Post Graduate Diploma in Education at the University of Lagos 2011, also obtained Master’s in Environmental Management from University of Lagos in 2016 so as to broaden her scope in Environment. However, her vision and passion for Environment has no bound with continuous advocacy on global best practices in every area is her priority to attain Sustainability. At the School Advocacy Unit of Environmental Planning and Climate Change Department, she was involved in Training of project officers deployed to secondary school at 6 Educational Districts, in which her knowledge in Education was an added value in the climate change curriculum.

She was later deployed to Sanitation Service Department, Head of Waste Management and Facility Monitoring Unit 2015-2021 with the responsibility of monitoring the state of the Environment/Dumpsite and Transfer Loading Station in the State and also monitoring the activities of LAWMA in the Ministry.

She recently, obtained professional certification in Occupational Safety Health Academy in 2020.OSHA U.S.A. Currently deployed to Lagos State Parks and Gardens (LASPARK) to continue the Advocacy, Training and Sensitization drive to promote greening within the state and mitigate the effect of climate change.

She is a member of Science Association of Nigeria (Lagos State Chapter) and a Professional member of Nigeria Institute of Food Science and Technology now chattered and currently, the Vice Co-coordinator of Ikeja zone of the Institute.

She is beautifully married with 4 children.

 

MRS. OLUWAKEMI MUINAT ONATUNDE

HEAD, PARTNERSHIPS

Oluwakemi Muinat Onatunde is a graduate with a Bsc degree in Food Science and Technology from the University of Agriculture Makurdi Benue State and a Master in Environmental Management from the University of Lagos. She was employed into the Lagos Civil Service in the year 2000 as a Scientific Officer II grade level 08 in  the Ministry of Environment now Ministry of Environment and Water Resources.

She was later deployed to the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency where she worked in the Laboratory and Pollution Department.  She presently heads the Partnerships Unit of the Lagos State Parks and Garden Agency.

 

 

MRS. BUSURAT OLUWAKEMI ABUDU

HEAD, PLANNING & BUDGET

Busurat Abudu was born on 29th October 1974 to the family of Mr.and Mrs.Abudu, she attended Federal Government Girls college New Bissau, Niger state  where she obtained WAeC in 1991.

An Alumnus of the University of Lagos (Unilag), where she bagged her first degree in Mathematics & Statistics in 1997, Ms Abudu also obtained Master in Public Administration from Lagos State University (LASU) in 2005.

Ms.Abudu started her career in the Lagos State Public Service as Statistician II in 1999 and gradually rose to the position of Deputy Director. She has served in various MDAs as Head of Planning/Budget Unit until her deployment to LASPARK in March, 2021.

She is happily married with children

MRS. ADEKUNBI ADEBOLA BAKARE

HEAD, PUBLIC AFFAIRS

Adekunbi Bakare, Public Affairs Director, joined the Lagos State Parks & Gardens Agency (LASPARK) in March 2023 after a period of service in the Lagos State Judiciary on secondment from the Ministry of Information and Strategy.

Her career in the Lagos State Civil Service which started over two decades ago has taken her through different Ministries, Departments & Agencies (MDAs) of the Lagos State Government primarily with public affairs and other special project responsibilities. These MDAs include the Ministry of Information & Strategy (her parent ministry) from where she has been seconded over the years to the Ministry of Commerce & Industry; Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA); Management Service & Reform Office (MSRO) now known as the Lagos State Office of Transformation, Creativity & Innovation (OTCI); and the Lagos State Judiciary before joining LASPARK.

While at MSRO, she was a member of a special project team composed of select officials of the state government to facilitate a project tagged SPARC (State Partnership for Accountability, Responsibility, Responsiveness and Capability) for public sector reform, public finance management as well as development of policy and strategy, working with DFID Consultants. She was also a team member on the Lagos State Strategic Management Project tagged Project WHEEL jointly facilitated by a select team of Lagos State officials and Consultants from international consulting firm, Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) with His Excellency Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu (then Commissioner for Establishment, Training & Development) as Project Co-ordinator. Project WHEEL led to the development of vision and mission for Lagos State with a comprehensive blueprint to transform each sector in addition to the development of Service Charters, Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) at different levels.

As a pioneer staff of LASTMA, Mrs. Bakare served as Administrative Officer and was part of the team that put the necessary structures and systems in place to build what has become a successful model in traffic management which has now been replicated in other states.

She has a Master’s degree in Communication Studies and a Post-graduate diploma in Public Relations & Advertising. A full member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (MNIPR), Mrs. Bakare has attended several professional training programmes and is also a member of other professional bodies including the Nigerian Union of Journalists, National Association of Women Journalists and the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered).

She is involved in voluntary activities to contribute to the elevation of public relations practice through health advocacy, humanitarian services and awareness creation for public good.

Mrs. Bakare is happily married with children.

MRS. TAIWO OLUWAFUNMILAYO COLE

HEAD, LEGAL

 Taiwo Cole, a Legal Practitioner, an administrator and a good team player who thrives on problem solving based on her skill in mediation, joined the Lagos State Government in 2008 and was deployed to Commercial Law Directorate, where she worked till 2018. She was seconded to Ministry of Waterfront and infrastructure Development in 2018.

In 2019, she was redeployed to Directorate for Citizen’s Rights, Ministry of Justice, where she was later seconded to Domestic and sexual violence response team (DSVRT, a unit under Directorate for Citizen’s Rights) as the Supervisor of the Unit.

In 2020, she was deployed to Lagos State Parks & Gardens Agency a parastatal under the Ministry of the Environment as the Legal Adviser.

Before joining the service of the Lagos State Government, she worked with Babatunde Ogala & Co. as a Legal Practitioner.

She attended the University of Buckingham, United Kingdom, for her Master’s degree in International and Commercial Law (LL.M), Nigerian Law School – (B.L), Lagos State University – Bachelor of Law (LL.B) and Methodist Girls High School, Yaba. She is a Member of Chartered institute of Arbitrators, a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA). She loves counseling, interior decoration, meeting people and humanitarian work.

SAHEED OLADIMEJI SANUSI

HEAD, POLICY

He is a graduate of Botany from University of Lagos where he obtained BSc. (Hons).

He was appointed into Service as a Scientific Officer on grade level of 08 in the 2001, and was deployed to Ministry of the Environment, Sewage and Water Department.

He later advance in service to Senior Scientific Officer, and later Principal Scientific Officer of grade level 12.

He was then deployed to Lagos State Wastewater Management Office in 2009, where he was the Coordinator in charge of wastewater management in Lagos Island, Victoria Island, Lekki and Epe.

He was promoted to the post of  Assistance Chief Scientific Officer, then in 2014 got promoted to the post of Chief Scientific Officer and then deployed to Lagos State Urban Development Authority (LASURA) under the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development, where he acted in capacity as the Safety Officer in the Health and Safety Unit.

He was then deployed to Lagos State Parks and Gardens in 2019 and later got promoted to Assistant Director.

He is presently Head of Policy Unit in LASPARK and is a fellow of Nigeria Scientist Association.

He is married with Children.

AKEEM BABATUNDE KAREEM

HEAD, FINANCE & ACCOUNTS

Akeem Babatunde Kareem is an Assistant Director/Head of Finance and Accounts of Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency. He joined the Lagos Staten Civil Service as a senior Accountant in November 2006 and was deployed to the State Treasury Office (Monitoring and Investigation Directorate). He was later seconded to Lagos State Waterways Authority in 2008 (a newly created Parastatal of Lagos State Government) as one of the pioneer staff where he later rose to become the Head of Accounts in 2010.

In 2016 he was deployed to Ministry of Justice (Mobile Court) and was later deployed to Ministry of Home of Affairs for one year (2016- 2017). In September 2017, Akeem was deployed to Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency as the Head of Finance and Accounts, since then he has been working hand in hand with the General Manager on all financial matters and treasury issues.

Akeem is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Lagos State University and Master of Science degree in Finance from University of Lagos.

He is married with children and loves reading, teaching and football.

ORIYOMI BASIRU HASSAN

HEAD, PLANT NURSERY

Originates from Ikorodu Local Government Lagos State.

HND Lagos State Polytechnic in Agric. Management & Extension, now Bsc Agric Extension and Rural development. Joined the Civil Service on 1st April, 1999 as Teacher grade II in Lagos State Ministry of Education for 7 (seven) years.

In 2006 he was re-designated from Education officer to Principal Agricultural Superintendent II in Ministry of Agricultural as Extension officer in Epe and Ikorodu serves as Extension Agent in the rural Area.

In 2007, he was later deployed to Ministry of Rural Development from 2006, where he served in empowering the youth onAgriculture entrepreneurship in Epe, Ibeju Lekki, Badargy and Ikorodu Communities.

In 2013 he was later deployed to Ministry of Local Government and Community Affair (now called Local Government and Chieftaincy) served in dissemination of Agricultural Development initiatives to nine Local Governments in the State till year 2016.

Within this period, he completed his B.Sc Agric. In Agric. Extension and Rural Development from federal university of Agriculture, Abeokuta, converted to Chief Agric. Officer Cadre. In 2016, he was later deployed to Ministry of Environment directly posted to LASPARK ( Lagos State Parks and Gardens) where he has served in different units within Agency.

He previously served as Greener Lagos Manager in charge of Region 3 (GLM3), supervising the state of the environment from Kosofe Local Government, part of Bariga (Somolu Local Government) to Ikorodu Local Government and its environs. He also supervised the activities of horticulturists maintaining government beautified sites in the region, dedicated to his duties by enhancing landscaping and beautification of setbacks and residential areas to improve the aesthetics of the environment.

MRS. TEMITOPE OLUFUNMILAYO OKUMUYIDE

HEAD, GREENER LAGOS MANAGEMENT (GLM5)

Mrs. Temitope Okunmuyide is a B.Sc. Physics graduate of University of Ilorin with a postgraduate diploma in Computer Science.

She gained employment with the Lagos State Government as a scientific officer in the year 2004. Over the years, Mrs. Okunmuyide worked at the Signage and Advertisement department, Monitoring, Enforcement and Compliance department, Conservation and Ecology Department, Climate change department and Environmental Sanitation Services department, all within the Ministry of the Environment.

She has a versatile knowledge with the appraisal of proposals, activity reports and public complaints on environment related matters. Before her transfer to the Local Government and Community Development Unit under Environmental Sanitation Services Department two (2) months ago, she was a thematic network officer on air quality control in the climate change unit, which is in collaboration with the C40 cities, a non-governmental organization which comprises of several major cities all over the world with the aim of adopting measures on climate change mitigation. She worked with Environmental Health Officers across all the 57   Local Governments Areas and Local Council Development Areas in Lagos State to create more awareness personal hygiene, recycling and the importance of sorting from source.

Mrs. Okunmuyide who is a Chief Scientific Officer was posted to the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency in the year 2020 where she currently heads one of the regions as a Greener Lagos Manager. Her job description includes: overseeing the proper maintenance of gardens by horticulturists within the region, proper maintenance of LASPARK sites and Partnership (adopted) sites which includes road setbacks and medians, advocacy on the need for greening within the region, report on contraventions of various degrees like felling/pruning of trees without approvals, unkept setbacks/ environment by organizations and attendance to mails as it relates to the assigned region.

Mrs. Okunmuyide is passionate about massive reduction in air pollution and improvement on the quality of air we breathe in.

 

AYODEJI ODAFE BALOGUN-ASAKO

HEAD, INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (ICT)

Ayodeji Balogun-Asako is an Assistant Chief Program Analyst, ICT personnel whose passion is providing solutions to problems using IT best practices.

He came into the Civil Service in the year 2011 and was deployed to Lagos State Pension Commission where he served, gathered massive experience and rose to the position of an Assistant Head of Department, ICT.

He attended Olabisi Onabanjo University Ogun State for his Bsc. in Computer Science and Jibril Martins High School, Iponri. He is also a full Member of the Computer Professional Council of Nigeria (MCPN).

He is married with kids, a music lover and very comfortable strumming the string guitars.

ABIODUN MICHAEL ADETOYE

HEAD, PROJECTS

Abiodun Michael Adetoye is an associate member of Nigerian Institute of Architects. He is Chief Technical Officer seconded from Lagos State Ministry of Infrastructure. He is currently the Head of the Projects Unit of the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK) where he oversees, under the supervision of the General Manager, the implementation of Government initiatives using standard business strategies to achieve desired goals in line with the Mandate of the Agency.

He coordinates projects implementation from conceptual to completion stage. He is adept in the use of tools such as AUTOCAD, REVIT and LUMEON for the production of architectural designs.

He holds Higher National Diploma (HND) and Bachelor of Science (BSc) all in Architecture from Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin and Bells University of Technology, Ota respectively.

He is a professional with passion to achieving desired goals within specified time frame.

Mr. Adetoye has worked as Project Manager on various projects for the State Government amongst which is Dr. Finnih Recreational Park, Oregun and Peace Park, Ojota which was recently commissioned by Mr. Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo- Olu.

 

ADENIYI OLUMIDE OLAOYE

HEAD, GREENER LAGOS MANAGEMENT (GLM1)

Adeniyi Olaoye joined the Lagos State Government as a Civil servant in 2007, was deployed to Policy Program and Promotion Department in the Ministry of Science & Technology.

In 2009, he was posted to Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources and seconded to Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) where he worked at the Agency’s Transfer Loading Station (TLS) Unit under Waste Management Services Department as the Manager. He worked in all the TLS’s (Simpson TLS, Sura. Marina TLS, Oshodi and Oba Ogunji TLS, Agege as a Manager. He also worked at Solos landfill, Igando. While in LAWMA he also worked at Lagos Central District (LCD) in the Operations Unit where he was the Manager, Markets and Schools sanitation in the central district of the Agency.

In 2019, he was posted back to Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources and seconded to Lagos state Parks and Garden Agency (LASPARK). He worked as a Regional Supervisor and later deployed to head the Enforcement Unit. He’s presently a Greener Lagos Manager in the Agency in charge of Region 1.

He attended Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) – Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management and Toxicology.

 

OLAGOKE OLAJIDE

HEAD, INTERNAL AUDIT

Mr. Olagoke Olajide is an Internal Auditor who ensures that the financial dealings and proper books of account are in place, recorded and kept as at when necessary in accordance with the rules and regulations. As an auditor he is also saddled with the responsibility of carrying out staff audit exercise, pre and post audit of all payment vouchers, value for money audit, investigation, store and stock audit, report writing and playing an advisory role to the management where necessary etc.

He joined the Teaching Service Commission in 1990 as Account Assistant II, he was deployed to Min. of Agriculture in 1999 where his service was regularized to the main stream of the Civil Service. As diligent officer of Internal Audit, between 1999 and 2005 he worked at Ministry of Agriculture, Min. Of Finance and Cabinet office, his integrity and team work ability was also displayed at his subsequent duty post such as Ministry of Transportation and Onikan Health Centre in 2005 and 2015 respectively.

He was later deployed to Motor Vehicle Administration Agency where he served till February 2020 before his deployment to Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency in March 2021.

He attended Obele Community High school 1978 – 1984, Obele Community High school 1984 – 1989 and in his quest for knowledge, he proceeded to Lagos State University where he obtained Bsc in Business Administration 2012. Going forward in his aspiration to be a professional he applied to the Association of National Accountant of Nigeria (ANAN) and became chartered in 2017 as (CNA).

He is married with children and loves travelling, playing Table Tennis and football.

OYETOLA RUKAYAT SUENU

HEAD, STRATEGIC ENGAGEMENTS

Oyetola Suenu obtained her first school leaving certificate from Anglican  Girls Seminary School, C.M.S, Lagos in 1993 after which she proceeded to Girls Secondary Grammar School, Obalende, Lagos in 1999. She is also an alumnus of the Lagos State University (LASU) with a B.SC in Chemistry in 2008.

She interned as an assistant quality control officer both in Ragolis Waters Company, Ikorodu and Mobil Oil Nigeria, Apapa, Lagos.

She joined the Lagos State Civil Service in 2011, deployed to the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources (Office of Environmental Services) and attended different trainings in Leadership & Management Excellence amongst others.

She has been part of projects implementation with senior colleagues and independently.

A pioneer staff of the Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency with wealth of experience from different departments within the Agency, she is the head of Strategic Engagements Unit with the responsibility to liaise with organizations and individuals interested in collaborating with the Agency to achieve its mandate amongst other duties.

Under the close supervision of the General Manager, some successful engagements she worked on with her team members, include the renovation of the basketball court within the Ndubuisi Kanu Park,Alausa, Ikeja in partnership with Far East Mercantile Ltd., establishment of the  Alausa Scenic garden in partnership with Allianz Media Ltd. Engagements with numerous organizations on the adoption and year round maintenance of gardens established by the State Government which in turn reduced the financial expenditure of the Government on maintenance of gardens to a large extent. An  advocate of recreation and leisure in outdoor spaces which in turn has increased the population of youth patronage in public recreational parks.

She is a reliable team player, open to learning, evident in some of the achievements mentioned.

Tola is an indigene of Lagos State, Isale-Eko by descent, a fun seeker who derives pleasure from interacting with people of diverse culture, exploring, indoor games, collecting items for recycling and working as a volunteer on climate action projects.

She is happily married with beautiful children.

MORUFF OLALEKAN OLAGOKE

HEAD, PROCUREMENT

Mr. Moruff Olalekan Olagoke joined the Lagos State Civil Service on 15th May, 2007 and deployed to the Ministry of Transportation as Asst. Traffic Superintendent (Internal Audit)

He served in various MDA’S until 26th April, 2023 when he was deployed to Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency as Principal PROCUREMENT GL.12

He attended Lagos State Polytechnic (LASPOTECH) for his Ordinary National Diploma (OND) and Higher National Diploma (HND).

He is a certified member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria.

He is happily married with children. He loves reading, listening to music, dancing, cooking, traveling, baby sitting and football.

ENIOLA SHERIFAT OTUKOYA

HEAD, GREENER LAGOS MANAGEMENT (GLM3)

Eniola Otukoya has a Bachelors degree in Biochemistry from Ogun State University (Olabisi Onabanjo University) Ago  Iwoye, Ogun State in 2001.

She started her career with Lagos State Agricultural Development Authority under Fadama in 2004 (a World Bank  Project) as Community Facilitator.

In  2013, she became Monitoring and Evaluation officer in  Commercial Agricultural Development Project CADP (World Bank Project)  after gaining employment with Lagos State Agricultural Development Authority LSADA as a Research Officer in 2007.

She was posted as Agro processing Subject Matter Specialist (Lagos East Senatorial District) before entering  into the Lagos State Civil Service as Senior Scientific Officer in 2018.

She was deployed to Lagos State Waste Management Authority, LAWMA as Route Manager (Mushin).
August 2020, subsequently redeployed to LASPARK and currently Greener Lagos Manager in charge of Region 3.

OLUWASEUN USMAN OLAYEMI

HEAD, PARKS MANAGEMENT

Oluwaseun Usman Olayemi, born in 1985 attended Lagos Baptist Academy, Obanikoro.

An Alumnus of Lagos State University (LASU), he bagged a B.Sc. in Botany in 2008.

Oluwaseun started his career in 2011 with a Telecoms company as an Installer/technical operative and advanced to a position of a POS Terminal Progammer in African Prepaid Services and was retained as one of the best officers to continue his good deed with Easy Blue Access Communications. In the year 2013, He furthered to manage a Bottled Water Company as the Production Manager in Bond Water, his high performance earned him  an extension service to manage Kings Global Ventures (KGV) also as a Production Manager.

In 2017, Oluwaseun was employed in Lagos State Government and started with Lagos State Parks and Gardens Agency (LASPARK). Since then, he has contributed to the development and advancement of the organization as well as his career.

ADURAGBEMI SAMSON AREMU

HEAD, ENFORCEMENT

Aduragbemi Samson Aremu, born in 1990, attended Success College Alagbole, Ogun State.

An Alumnus of Oduduwa University Ipetumodu Ile-Ife (OUI), graduated with B.Sc in Physics with Electronics in 2014.

He gained his first working experience while doing his industrial training (IT) in HURLAG, a private company that deals with metal and iron fabrication in Ikeja, Lagos State in 2012.

Another experience while having his NYSC Program in Success Science College, Igbo Iroko Owo, Ondo State 2016.

Aduragbemi joined the Public Service in 2018 and has served in Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST).

He was deployed to LASPARK in 2021 where he currently serves as the Head, Enforcement Unit.

He is happily married.
