Park Profile

The park was commissioned on Thursday 14th December 2017, and named in honour of Late Alhaji Rafiu Bakare Jafojo a former Deputy Governor of Lagos State and a foremost Awori son under the dispensation of Mr Akiwunmi Ambode. The State commissioner for the Environment, Dr. Babatunde Adejare represented the Governor at the ceremony commissioning.

The park enhanced the aesthetics of the area thereby improving communities’ relationship and more importantly increased the work ethics of people within and around that area. It also provides recreational activities to the Awori community within the Alimosho area of the State as well as all adjoining towns and communities in the axis.
